Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Master Scheduler to oversee and manage our production scheduling process. This key role will ensure the timely delivery of customer orders by creating, maintaining, and optimizing the production schedule. The Master Scheduler will coordinate with various departments, including procurement, production, quality, and logistics, to balance production capacity with demand, manage raw material and inventory levels, and monitor lead times.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Production Planning and Scheduling:

+ Create and maintain a master production schedule that aligns customer demand with production capacity.

+ Coordinate with procurement and manufacturing teams for timely material availability and efficient resource utilization.

+ Capacity Planning:

+ Evaluate and adjust production schedules to optimize equipment, labor, and materials.

+ Identify and address potential bottlenecks or capacity constraints.

+ Inventory Management:

+ Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstock or shortages of raw materials and finished goods.

+ Work closely with the procurement team to ensure material deliveries align with production needs.

+ ERP System Maintenance and Data Integrity:

+ Maintain accurate production and master data in the ERP system to support effective scheduling.

+ Ensure data integrity through regular updates and troubleshooting discrepancies.

+ Financial Revenue Forecasting:

+ Assist in developing annual budget forecasts and monthly revenue forecasts by aligning production schedules with sales projections.

+ Reporting and Analysis:

+ Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production and scheduling efficiency.

+ Utilize data analysis to forecast production needs and adjust for demand fluctuations.

+ Collaboration and Communication:

+ Act as the central point of contact between production, procurement, logistics, and quality teams.

+ Communicate schedule changes or production issues to relevant stakeholders promptly.

+ Continuous Improvement:

+ Analyze scheduling performance to identify and implement process improvements.

+ Apply lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

+ Risk Management:

+ Identify potential risks to the production schedule and develop contingency plans.

+ Adjust schedules as needed to mitigate identified risks.

+ Compliance and Quality Control:

+ Ensure production schedules comply with industry regulations and quality standards.

+ Collaborate with quality assurance to integrate necessary checks without impacting timelines.

Qualifications:

+ Experience: Minimum of 5 years in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or personal care preferred).

+ Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred. Desired certifications include APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or CPSM.

+ Knowledge: Strong understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory management in manufacturing, with familiarity in FDA-regulated, cGMP environments.

+ Skills:

+ Proficiency in ERP systems and scheduling software.

+ Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

+ Ability to manage multiple production schedules and projects effectively.

+ Basic knowledge of financial forecasting and budgeting related to production.
