Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer should have 3+ years of proven engineering experience in a manufacturing environment and be locally able to commute daily to our Beverly, MA facility.


The role is responsible for the design, implementation and operation of production systems including methods, instructions, materials, tools and equipment, efficiencies, and improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Designs, evaluates, and implements manufacturing processes
  • Trains manufacturing methodologies including development and control of written work instructions
  • Specifies and implements manufacturing tooling and equipment
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, automation, and equipment layout
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Serves as main technical human resource on manufacturing shop floor
  • Serves as main technical liaison between local and international factories
  • Serves on Material Review Board.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering and at least 3 year’s experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-organized, analytical, data driven, and results oriented
  • Assertive and self motivated; able to be effective with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working with other employees in a variety of job functions
  • Experience and competence with MS Office products and other analysis software tools
  • Experience with EPR/MRP systems.
  • Experience with CAD / Solidworks
  • Hands on individual with ability to trouble shoot and fix mechanical systems.
  • Experience with welding processes and AWS/ASME Section IX is preferred but not required
