We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join the Lakehouse Resort team for our upcoming seasonal events! This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic and festive environment, providing exceptional service to our guests during the busy holiday season.

As a seasonal team member, you will play an essential role in creating memorable experiences for our visitors, whether it's through food and beverage service, event support, or hospitality.

Seasonal Busser

Brickmans at The Links is the main restaurant of the property. You will be responsible for the delivery of all food from the kitchen to the guest tables. You must ensure that the food arrives accurately and in a timely manner to maintain quality. You will assist the servers in removing any dirty glassware, silverware, and plates from guest tables. You will help with cleaning and resetting the tables to conform with restaurant SOPs by resetting plates, glasses, and any utensils. You must be able to assist the servers in providing exceptional customer service and when possible, upsell our offerings during the guests' dining experience.

The duties of a Seasonal Busser include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Greet guests with a warm welcome and a fond farewell; engage them in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Provide exceptional guest hospitality and service to ensure guests enjoy their experience.
  • Responsible for delivering food to the guests on time and accurately.
  • Assist the expeditor in the final preparation of all dishes before leaving the kitchen.
  • Assist the expeditor to check dishes for accuracy, presentation, and temperature based on guest requests.
  • Transfer important information between the kitchen and FOH staff (e.g., special guest request, dish availability)
  • Expert knowledge of the menu, able to answer guest questions and provide recommendations.
  • When possible, address and resolve any guest complaints; notify management ASAP about any unresolved guest complaints that they need to handle.
  • Assist the servers with clearing and resetting tables while maintaining very high sanitation standards.
  • Fill water glasses, polish silver and glassware, and run food to tables.
  • Always maintain a composed and professional attitude.
  • Become familiar with all returning guests and know their special requests and needs.


Requirements

  • At least 6 months of Front of House experience preferred.
  • RBS and Food Handlers Certified.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Adept at being organized and able to multi-task.
  • Dexterity in carrying multiple plates and trays.
  • Must possess an energetic, positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Able to communicate with individuals from different backgrounds, using strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn the menu thoroughly and answer food related questions from guests.
  • Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
  • Can perform high quality work while unsupervised.
  • Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food and other items.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by business demands.
  • Willingly perform other reasonable tasks and duties as assigned by Management.
