Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Daily Warehouse Operations: Coordinate receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping activities to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and timely.
- Team Management: Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse staff, setting performance goals, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Inventory Control: Oversee inventory levels, conduct periodic counts, and assist in investigating discrepancies to maintain accuracy.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce company and OSHA safety policies, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and reduce errors.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the use and maintenance of warehouse equipment, arranging repairs or replacements as necessary.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain records of warehouse activities, including receiving and dispatch logs, inventory, and employee attendance.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, preferably in the food industry.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required
- Skills:
- MUST be able to operate warehouse equipment safely (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in varying warehouse conditions.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
