Immediate part-time Bookkeeper opportunity near La Mesa, CA. This role will involve handling the financial elements of the car sales operations, including the management of customer sales transactions, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and preparing for month-end and year-end closings. For this role, it is a big plus to be familiar with dealership management systems, accounting software like QuickBooks Online, and preferably have experience within the automotive industry.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all sales information, ensuring it is correctly entered into the dealership management system.

• Maintain and manage accounts payable and receivable, including entering sales invoice data and downloading AP and AR invoices into QuickBooks.

• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring all accounts, credit card statements, and ledger entries are accurate.

• Record and adjust journal entries as required to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including the preparation of financial statements.

• Collaborate with the CPA firm who prepares the company's financial statements and tax filings.

• Handle financial transactions related to purchasing used cars at auctions, including liaising with credit unions.

• Manage light payroll for employees and independent contractors, including payroll entries and tax filing assistance.

• Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements, providing valuable insights to management.

• Ensure all transactions and records comply with company policies and accounting regulations.

• Must have experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Skills in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) are required

• QuickBooks knowledge and experience is required

• Capability to perform Bank Reconciliations is essential

• Solid knowledge of Bookkeeping is a must

• Data Entry skills are required

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel is necessary

• Experience with Month End Close procedures is a plus

• Payroll management skills are essential
