The Team

We are seeking an Engineer to join American Tower's U.S. Tower division's Network Engineering & Technology Solutions team. The Engineer leads the design and technical implementation of connectivity solutions of medium complexity for project scopes in malls casinos, hospitality and healthcare venues, education campus environments, multi-dwelling units,multi-tenant units , outdoor networks in private venues, public rights of way, and other such venues. These solutions include, but are not limited to, cellular, carrier grade Wi-Fi, neutral host private LTE networks, IOT connectivity,

etc ., all of which aim to enable a superior network experience for varied types of customer applications and connected devices.

Day to day responsibilities include end-to-end ownership of all engineering related tasks such as implementing core network architecture, original equipment manufacturer recommendations, and network designs and planning for capacity/future growth. You will support internal and external resources to ensure the completed networks meet or exceed technical and customer requirements and will handle multiple projects, playing a vital technical role for successfully accomplishing project milestones. As an Engineer, you will partner cross-functionally to develop and deploy designs that meet or exceed stated key performance requirements . What You Can Offer Us

Understand and implement appropriate network engineering requirements (fiber, electrical power, RF, monitoring, IP Network design, etc.).

Perform all engineering tasks for all project scopes, including those of medium complexity project related to network design using, engineering tools such as iBWave and ATOLL.

Act as a technical point of contact for internal and external project stakeholders for projects of medium complexity.

Lead customer technical meetings to establish technical requirements and scopes of work.

Support internal and external stakeholders on project-related technical matters.

Facilitate timely and effective customer communication through regular meetings, reporting, site visits, and conference calls.

Manage multiple projects and provide regular status updates and progress reports to customers and management.

Compile and maintain all project documentation in accordance with internal policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

What You Need To Succeed

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 6 years of relevant experience required or 10 years of relevant work experience.

iBWave Level 2 certification or 2 years of hands-on iBWave experience required

A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible RF engineering experience, at least 2 of which directly involved Inbuilding network solutions and designs as a primary job responsibility, preferred.

Knowledge of IP network design, planning, configuration, integration, testing, and security required. CCNA certification preferred.

Strong critical thinking skills, with a proven capability to work well independently and with others to solve problems.

Approximately 50% travel may be required in support of the position's responsibilities.

While performing the role you may need to lift up to 25 lbs.

Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.

Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.

Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
