Database Analyst I

Reporting to the Database Marketing Manager, the Database Analyst I will perform analysis of guest databases to derive insights from large amounts of customer and transactional data developing hypotheses, strategies, reports, and segmentation for marketing campaigns. The Database Analyst I will assist management with the interpretation, evaluation and interrelationship of data and generate integrated segmentation and business analysis to execute Database Marketing campaigns and facilitate decision making.
Core Responsibilities:
Create and maintain the segmentation of monthly direct marketing campaigns; provides market analysis for the purpose of gauging the success rate of such campaigns. Performs Ad Hoc analysis, reporting, data extraction and visualizations to track profitability, retention, acquisition, and identify opportunities to increase engagement and profit. Responsible for data extraction, list generation and loading into various marketing systems with a keen eye for data quality. Independently identify appropriate statistical techniques, data and methods that will be used to answer database marketing inquiries and provide business alternatives. Investigates and helps solve data quality issues; trains users as needed. The Database Analyst I performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and assumes other responsibilities, duties, tasks and assignments that contribute to the mitigation or response to any public health emergency. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field required. Minimum of one year of analytical experience required, SAS or SQL preferred. Relevant Casino experience is highly desirable. An equivalent combination of progressive, relevant, and direct experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements. Familiarity of business intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required. Demonstrated knowledge and experience leveraging player tracking systems and reports. Experience working with Konami or other casino customer management systems preferred. Familiarity with marketing methodologies and systems such as segmentation modeling, targeting, CRM, and ROI projections and evaluation. Experience working with relational databases and enterprise reporting tools is required. The Database Analyst I must have experience demonstrating the utmost discretion and confidentiality as they will have access to confidential information including, but not limited to: Social Security numbers, customer contact information, customer financial data, and organizational financial data. Must Obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming License. Physical Demands:
Work is performed in an office setting. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality. May be exposed to smoke. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Constant contact with executives, department management, team members, and guests. Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility. Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols. Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone. Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone. Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of team members, visitors or facility. Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
