Job Description
The Data Governance Analyst is responsible for preparing requirements, specifications, business processes, and recommendations in compliance with company standards, policies and methodologies. Gather and synthesize functional and non-functional business requirements ensuring alignment to business strategy. Execute gap analyses between business requirements and best practices. Develop business cases, process and business test strategy, case, and execution. A strong focus on data protection is desired.

2. Education requirement: Bachelor’s degree in related field
3. Required skill-sets:
• Experience working with multiple IT and business teams to gather requirements. Experienced in Visio, JIRA, and Excel. Project Coordination experience preferred. Ongoing operations experience preferred.
• Leads gathering, refining, documenting, user acceptance testing, and coordination of Data Governance and Privacy (Legal/OGC) requirements
• Supports the data mapping of data elements to mandated categories per State laws
• Manages compliance requirements for vendors as well as internal data.
• Provide ad-hoc data analysis where needed.
• Subject matter expert of all data and can handle and speak to it in potential urgent situations.
• Responsible for administration of Enterprise Consent Admin Portal.
• Works closely with VWGoA AMS/Service/Product teams to integrate new data/new data usage into VWGoA’s privacy solution.
• Manages all requirements in JIRA/Confluence, obtaining signoff from Management in Compliance, Privacy (and where applicable IT).
• Works closely with VWGoA AMS/Service/Product teams to integrate new data/new data usage into VWGoA’s privacy solution.
• Leads all 40+ communication templates/touch points with consumers related to state privacy rights.
• Responsible for driving Vendor off-boarding, including but not limited to managing data sharing shut down, destruction/return, and Processing Activity retirement.
