Forklift Operator with Welding Experience Job at Surge Staffing LLC in Romulus

Schedule:

Monday through Friday from 6 am to 4:30 pm and Saturdays from 6 am to noon.

Wages:

$17-$20

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts to transport materials and products around the warehouse or production area.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Perform welding tasks as needed, utilizing your welding experience for repairs, modifications, and fabrication.
• Assist with other production duties, including equipment setup and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficiency and quality in daily operations.
• Over time, take on more advanced welding responsibilities and work toward developing welding expertise in specialized areas.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Forklift Operator.
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG, or Stick welding).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Strong commitment to safety and following safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn and grow into more advanced welding roles over time.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with various types of welding and metal fabrication.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
