Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,142 per week

Certification Details Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Job Details Small traveler friendly facility in Nebraska looking for 4 Medsurg RNs to start ASAP - BLS needed. Job Requirements BLS certification, NIHSS certification required Chest tubes-preferred experience Pain management experience TPN, CBI, wounds experience Charge nurse experience would be a plus but not required Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours 7-7 No self scheduling- do work with travelers on block scheduling (accommodate as much as possible) Travelers will fill in gaps of first schedule Weekend Requirements: Generally every 3rd weekend but may be more based on need- they just ask for flexibility Holiday Requirements: Every 3rd holiday- please expect to work one of the winter holidays Unit Specific Information Beds: 30 all private, average census 20 Nurse : Patient Ratios: 1:4-6 Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Dementia, post surgical, falls, influenza, pneumonia, failure to thrive, cancer patients, COVID Are RNs required to titrate drips: No Charge Nurse/House Supervisor?: Charge nurse- will take patients. May have to work charge if they have the experience Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes, generally have 2-3 RT Equipment: Yes- CPAP with RT to manage Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any solid color- no pattern/design Additional Details 50 mile radius for all travelers Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit?: Tele on the floor. Monitor techs will read Unit/Department specific orientation: Two days of nursing department orientation and one day on the floor No call or standby requirement Will only give if they have requested to have their scheduled shift off or if they volunteer to cancel Floating Requirements: can float to PCU-taking MedSurg overflow or very low acuity PCU patients
