Certification Details BLS, ACLS required Job Details Specialty: MST / Multi Care Unit - 617170 Care levels handled within one unit of beds: 10 Ratios depend on patient acuity: ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, MST 1:5-6 Must have at least 2 years of ICU experience or 1 year ICU and 1 year PCU/Medsurg in larger facilities with strong skills RNs required to titrate drips Common titratable &/or set rate drips include sedation, vasopressors, insulin Charge Nurse/House Supervisor handles 50 inpatient beds RT Equipment: Vents, Bipap, Cpap RNs read strips and must take 12-lead EKG ICU patients are monitored per Bedside Cardiac monitor Experience with Remote Monitor Techs Charge RN manages ICU patients Job Requirements Required certifications: BLS, ACLS At least 2 years of ICU experience or equivalent Ability to titrate drips Comfortable with Reading remote tele and taking 12-lead EKGs Schedule Information 12-hour shifts: 0700/1900 – 1930/0730 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Rotation Low census may lead to standby rotations Unit Specific Information Multi Care Unit specifics Nurse aid ratios and responsibilities Charge Nurse/Supervisor role Additional Details If no nurse aid, RNs take 3 patients and provide primary care to PCU & MST patients Shift & Scheduling details Weekend and Holiday Requirements Call or Standby Requirement details Floating Requirements across units and campuses with notice Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any except camouflage Unit/Department specific orientation details
