As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Superintendent to join our team, overseeing day-to-day project operations, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining the high standards of quality and safety that our clients expect.
Description
In this role, key responsibilities would include:
Project Oversight: Manage and supervise day-to-day operations on commercial interior construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate subcontractors, laborers, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to meet project goals and deadlines.
Scheduling and Resource Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, allocate resources, and track progress to ensure timely completion while avoiding delays or cost overruns.
Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets or exceeds the project specifications and industry standards through regular site inspections, troubleshooting, and proactive issue resolution.
Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations, conducting safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring that their expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project lifecycle.
Document Management: Oversee project documentation, including daily logs, change orders, and submittals, and ensure that all necessary permits and inspections are obtained.
Problem Solving: Address unforeseen issues or delays promptly and develop solutions to keep the project on track while minimizing disruptions.
These responsibilities require strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with an in-depth understanding of commercial interior construction processes.
Profile
The Construction Superintendent should have:
- 5+ years as a construction superintendent for a commercial general contractor
- OSHA certification (preferred)
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience leading ground-up construction projects and managing a large team
