The Sheet Metal Account Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key clients in the sheet metal and manufacturing sectors. The role is focused on identifying new business opportunities, managing customer needs, and ensuring satisfaction with our products and services. The Sheet Metal Account Manager is a remote position with occasional travel across the Northeast and Upstate, NY.

Description
- Manage and develop long-term relationships with existing clients. Serve as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met and problems are resolved in a timely manner.
- Identify and prospect new clients in the sheet metal fabrication industry. Build a strong sales pipeline, secure new business, and grow revenue within your assigned territory.
- Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions for sheet metal products, including custom fabrication, design assistance, prototyping, and value-added services.
- Prepare detailed proposals and quotes for sheet metal projects. Work closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure accurate pricing, timelines, and feasibility.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure client orders are fulfilled according to specifications and timelines. Provide feedback to improve product offerings and customer service.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to stay ahead of the market. Provide regular updates and forecasts on sales activities and account performance to management.
- Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by addressing issues and concerns, following up on orders, and working to continuously improve service delivery.
- Oversee the execution of key projects, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget. Coordinate with project teams to track progress and address any roadblocks.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required. Relevant certifications or training in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing processes is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within the sheet metal, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal processes, including fabrication, welding, bending, and finishing.
- Experience working with both large and small customers in a B2B sales environment.
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals and managing accounts effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a solutions-oriented approach to customer needs.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of CRM software and sales reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage a remote workload effectively.
- Occasional travel (up to 25%) to meet clients, attend industry events, or visit production facilities as needed.
Job Offer
- $80,000 - $100,000 base salary + performance based bonuses (OTE between 160-180K is expected)
