ASRC Federal Systems Solutions, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a IT Security Manager in anticipation of favorable award of an upcoming contract in the Beltsville, MD area.

Program Overview: The Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (O&M&S) program supports a range of advanced technology networks and infrastructure essential to high-priority missions in aerospace and defense. These networks provide critical communication, data transport, and tracking services for both government and commercial clients involved in complex mission operations. The program ensures the seamless integration and operation of sophisticated ground-based and space-based systems, contributing to mission success and ongoing modernization efforts.

Position Summary: The IT Security Manager oversees cybersecurity for critical communication and navigation systems across multiple geographic sites required to maintain high operational availability of space communications services, ensuring protection against evolving threats. This role involves developing security protocols, conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with federal and organizational cybersecurity standards, and integrating security measures into system design and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain cybersecurity plans, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement effective mitigation strategies.

Oversee incident response protocols, penetration tests, and security audits to maintain system integrity.

Implement robust access controls, data protection measures, and security protocols for high-risk infrastructure.

Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to integrate security best practices into system development and operations.

Proactively manage cybersecurity risks and address vulnerabilities to ensure mission continuity.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related technical field (Masters preferred).

At least 8 years of experience in IT security management for mission-critical systems.

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.

Proven ability to develop and enforce comprehensive cybersecurity policies.

Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with communication systems and navigation networks.

Experience with high-risk infrastructure and critical systems protection.

Strong analytical and leadership skills for managing IT security teams and protocols.
