Job Overview
The role of the Warehouse Associate II is to load and unload trailers, operate the diesel yard truck, and move trailers where needed. This role also operates equipment (Pallet Jacks, Forklifts, etc.) within the warehouse walls to move and shift products and build customer orders. All customer orders are loaded onto delivery trucks to be delivered to customer locations. Our Warehouse Associates are a key component in providing excellent service to our customers and in getting our variety of products in the hands of our consumers
A Day In The Life
Follow all safety, company, and 6S standards in the distribution center to ensure clean and safe working environment to ensure safety and security of all employees.
Coordinate and document tote information.
Provide liaison between shipping office and material handlers.
Follow up with FIFO per leadership
Operate forklift or other material handling equipment safely and efficiently and assist in keeping empty pallets available.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly warehouse. Conduct operations in a safe manner
Assist with daily housekeeping and maintenance of the warehouse and other material handling equipment
Ensure paperwork is completed appropriately and handled accurately
Perform miscellaneous activities as directed by your manager to efficiently support the warehouse operation
What will help you thrive in this role?
Three (3) years' experience in a high-volume warehouse environment required.
Ability to perform work for a minimum of eight hours.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor.
Willingness to embrace the Hubbell Values and Behaviors.
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating in projects as needed.
Knowledge of appropriate handling, safety and warehouse standards.
Ability to handle regular job problems within a defined area of responsibility using basic problem-solving skills.
