Job Summary:
This Administrative Assistant II in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology assists research faculty and other staff by coordinating their complex daily activities allowing them to be successful in their teaching, research, service, clinical, outreach, and administrative duties. This role requires excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail. A candidate that has strong verbal and written communication skills will be necessary in this role. A candidate who is innovative, collaborative, service-oriented, and strategic would be a great fit and addition to our administrative team!
Responsibilities: Provides administrative support for a department, group of professionals, or to the manager of a work group consisting of professional staff and subordinate supervisors in support of unit goals, under general supervision

  • 20% Schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations
  • 10% Serves as a first point of contact for individuals and groups, provides basic organizational information via phone, in person and through other communication mediums, and routes more complex inquiries to the appropriate entities
  • 20% Collects, analyzes, and prepares various communication materials from established sources utilizing technology mediums
  • 10% Sends, receives, copies, and distributes communications to the appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures under general supervision
  • 20% Maintains established methods and organizational systems directed at the maintenance of electronic/physical records related to work operations according to established policies and procedures
  • 20% Performs administrative tasks including meeting agendas and minutes, word processing,
    calendaring, purchasing and reimbursements.

Qualifications:
Microsoft Suite efficiency required
Experience using virtual conferencing tools required
Administrative support experience required
Relevant experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday between the business hours of 8am-5pm. The exact schedule will be determined at the time of hire.

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

Minimum $23.00 HOURLY

The starting pay rate for the position is $23.00 per hour but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
