Salary: $17 per hour

Great Atlantic Management has been operating self-storage facilities throughout the Hampton Roads area since 1977. We have expanded our portfolio of facilities and manage a small in-house call center to assist our customers.

 

We are looking for a customer-oriented service representative. A customer service representative, or CSR, will act as a liaison, provide information, and attempt to resolve any emerging problems that our customers might face. The ideal CSR is professional and maintains a great attitude while on the phone with the customer. The target is to ensure excellent service standards and respond efficiently to customer inquiries.


This is an in-office position. You will be required to work at our office in Virginia Beach.


Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls for multiple self-storage facilities.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via email, text, and web chat.
  • Generate sales leads by providing information to customers and assist them in making an informed rental decision.
  • Walk the customer through the rental process and ensure all valid documents are acquired.
  • Provide valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools.
  • Accurately process customer payments.
  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives, and alert facility management of the situation.
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents.
  • Follow procedures, guidelines, and policies.


The Successful Candidate will have:

  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Storage experience preferred but not required
  • High school degree or equivalent

Hours:  Our Call Center is open every day of the year from 8am - 9pm. Full time hours (40 hours per week) can include shifts scheduled between the hours of 8am - 9pm, including weekends.


Background check and drug screen required upon acceptance of position.
