About our Team
The Revenue Accounting team is responsible for revenue for our Business Services, Insurance, Healthcare and Government businesses. Our team is also responsible for MVR payments and accounting, acquisition accounting, cash flow forecasting rollup and coordination.
About the Role
The is a critical role that processes MVR payments timely, records related accounting entries and performs the balance sheet reconciliations. This role will interact with various teams regularly. You will also work with a remote entity to load monthly trial balance and reconcile its balance sheet accounts. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets.

About the Role

This role requires exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing records, analyzing and report accounting transactions to ensure the integrity of records for completeness, and compliance with accepted policies. Managing the accounting of motor vehicle records including payments, accruals and analysis.
- Providing financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget. Analyzing and preparing statutory accounts, financial statements and reports.
- Performing accounting activities, including preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements.
- Supporting month-end close process by preparing and analyzing schedules, reports and posting journal entries and understanding the impact to the financial statements
- Analyzing trends and explains actual variances to prior periods and forecasts including researching and providing appropriate support for schedules
- Reconciling and review balance sheet accounts including identification, resolution and communication of reconciling items as necessary.
- Ensuring that walkthrough documents are up to date, assists with completion of management testing, liaises with A&RM and EY
- Assisting with monitoring of compliance responsibilities, including ICQSBs, ICGS, statutory accounts, tax returns etc.
Qualifications
- Understand basic finance and accounting principles, including P&Ls, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements and Chart of Accounts. Can manage journal entries and understands their impact on the financial statements.
- Possess understanding of Accounting Policy, Tax Rules and other applicable rules and regulations for areas of responsibility.
- Able to navigate successfully through the company's financial systems.
- Experience in account reconciliations
- Demonstrate knowledge of GAAP, SOX, IFRS.
- Able to examine financial statements to ensure accuracy.
- Display attributes as a team member to implement process, reporting and system optimization.
- Demonstrate detailed transaction level understanding of frequently used systems.
