Overview
Join Highgate this summer for an exciting internship experience across Accounting - Shared Services Division!
As an Accounting - Shared Services Intern, you will play a key role and gain hands-on experience in financial operations, building a strong foundation in accounting and shared services management. Support Accounts payable and receivables, General Ledger reconciliations, Financial reporting, Expense tracking, Data entry, Process improvements and Ad hoc projects.
This position is based out of our Corporate Offices, Irving, TX.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Accounting team in a 10-week internship program and gain exposure to core accounting functions and processes.
- Provide support to Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Month-End Close, Data Analysis and Finance Statement preparation and more.
- Assist with various projects as needed.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Finance (in progress) or a similar degree.
- Minimum Junior status.
- Knowledge of accounting and/or finance principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and reports) and PowerPoint skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Must be organized with the ability to work accurately in a time efficient manner.
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to participate in a summer internship program of 10 weeks (June to August 2025).
- You must reside in Dallas, TX during the internship and work onsite.
- Salary - $20/hr for 40 hour week /10 weeks
