Job Title: Assistant Volunteer Coordinator
Job location: Norfolk Slover Library 235 E Plume St, Norfolk, VA 23510
Schedule: PT Tuesday - Saturday up to 20 hours weekly
Pay Rate: $15.50 hourly
Job Duties:
• Processing new volunteer applications and preparing applicants for interviews with potential volunteer supervisors.
• Coordinating with volunteer supervisors to place volunteers into roles matched to their qualifications and organizational needs.
• Maintaining volunteer database and related documentation.
• Tracking and reporting volunteer information including schedules, hours, and issues.
• Conducting periodic evaluations of individual volunteers and overall volunteer program performance.
• Planning and organizing volunteer recruitment events including site selection, logistical arrangements, purchasing supplies, promoting events, and serving as primary point of contact for inquiries.
• Coordinating with volunteer supervisors on community outreach activities.
• Performing other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Prior experience performing human resources, staffing, or related administrative work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Knowledgeable with scheduling and time management applications.
