Job Title: Senior Data Analyst
Location: New York, New York
Duration: 6 months, Full-time (5 days per week)
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to support data management and strategic business activities by performing in-depth data analysis, developing insights, and improving data quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with large datasets, proficiency in SQL, and experience collaborating with stakeholders to document and address business requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth analyses to support both short-term and long-term data management initiatives.
- Perform data mining on large datasets to identify trends and improve data quality.
- Create and integrate datasets from diverse sources to support data management strategies.
- Partner with stakeholders to document business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Present data insights and reports to facilitate business reviews and strategic planning.
- Develop and recommend actionable business solutions based on thorough research and analysis.
- Design and enhance processes aligned with data governance best practices.
- Implement and manage Data Management lifecycle tools.
- Support master data and reference data management programs or tools.
- Apply creativity and problem-solving skills to optimize existing processes and develop new ones.
- Leverage project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Trello, SmartSheet) to organize and visualize tasks effectively.
- Adapt to various project management methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and SAFe.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in data analysis, specifically in data management or governance initiatives.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database structures.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools such as SAS, SPSS, or R (preferred).
- Strong ability to interpret data and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Familiarity with implementing and managing master or reference data programs.
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and tools.
- Practical experience with statistical software, such as SAS, SPSS, or R.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices.
