Leidos is seeking a
Systems Administrator
to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team at Ft. Meade, MD PROGRAM SUMMARY: The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities' common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA's Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office. Your role is critical to the overall operational and end User Experience (UX) as automation capabilities impacts each user across the global enterprise. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must hold an active Secret clearance prior to start. (US Citizenship required)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform domain migrations, both internal and external to DISA, to include Active Directory, file services, print services, DHCP, and other commodity IT services
Resolve a wide range of system issues, troubleshooting software and hardware, diagnosis of network issues, and addressing trouble tickets and service tasks across all
tiered levels.
Assist with achieving optimum performance and availability standards through implementing appropriate technical solutions.
Responsible for completed the day-to-day tasks associated with system administration in the DES Compute Environment.
Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
Provide on call 24/7 support to the current operations team when troubleshooting/resolving incidents with enterprise systems.
Provide escalation support to the NOC/monitoring team when troubleshooting issues with enterprise systems.
Manage IT system infrastructure and continuously update associated processes process documentation.
Work within the DevSecOps methodology to plan and support implementation of new technologies
Prepare recommendations for resolutions to NetOps challenges based on monitoring results, tools analysis, and/or forensics.
Work with other service teams to resolve enterprise incidents as part of the DES Operations Problem Solving Team.
Work with the monitoring team to address issue that will impact system availability.
Attend meetings weekly and provide weekly status reports.
Cybersecurity: Update systems by implementing and maintaining security controls.
Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions.
Familiarity with the DOD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management program.
Familiarity with MECM, AZURE, Ansible, Antivirus and security deployment tools.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Must have a DoD IAT Level II certification (Sec+), or higher, prior to start.
UNIX, Windows, and/or Storage administration experience.
Trouble reporting and tracking systems such as REMEDY experience.
Must be able to lift/move/carry equipment when necessary (max 40 pounds)
Manage, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows Servers.
Work with and manage Windows Active Directory, virtual servers, VMware, and Azure including support of AD migration of accounts and objects.
Ensure compliance of current security policies and remediations.
Proactively monitor and measure systems performance to detect trends and catch problems before users are impacted.
Respond to systems alerts, triage, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.
Work closely with other support teams to ensure incident events are handled in a timely manner.
Handle incoming technical escalations from Service Desk, Network Operations Security Center, Tier II, and other support teams.
Document, track, and coordinate incidents in ServiceNow.
Join troubleshooting bridge calls for major incidents.
Perform patching, updates, upgrades, refreshes, and other maintenance activities.
Ensure, manage, and restore backups and snapshots for Windows servers.
Communicate directly with end-users when necessary, to resolve issues and complete requests.
Contribute to documentation in the Knowledge Base, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work instructions, and job aids.
Continuously cross-train to also support other technical tasks and responsibilities.
Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions with more junior members of the team.
Demonstrated strengths in organizational, attention-to-detail, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/tasks, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities appropriately in an evolving work environment with shifting time frames; self-starter with high degree of initiative, determination of sense of urgency, and follow through

Required Qualifications: Work on-call rotation to respond to incident escalations
DOD 8570 IAT II Certification (Sec+ CE or equivalent)
Expert troubleshooting of Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10/11 and Server 2019), Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, network issues, print logic, IIS, VMware, Azure
Strong scripting and PowerShell skills
Experience building, configuring, hardening Windows servers
Strong VMware experience
Experience using Service Now service management software (or similar tool) to document incidents and service requests
Advanced experience with Active Directory management & administration
Preferred Qualifications: Previous DHS or DoD experience
