The team you will be a part of: The Channel Sales team is responsible for selling products and services to a wide range of highly complex or major accounts and customers and execution of sales plans, targets and budgets within the overall regional and business unit sales strategy. Accountable for increasing sales/client ratio and expanding customer base. This role in summary: Whirlpool Corporation is seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Sales Manager opening in our Sales organization for The Lowe’s Channel and Lowe’s Kitchen Team. This position is eligible for relocation assistance and will have a home base in Charlotte, NC where they will work core days in our Drop In Center facility located near Lowe’s Corporate office. This Senior Manager is responsible for delivering the financial metrics for the Cooking category at Lowe’s through pricing, promotion, marketing and in-store/on-line experience. This should be accomplished by close collaboration with the Lowe’s Merchants and process partners as well as our internal process partners, by influencing Merchandising go to market plans, and preferential bias with the Lowe’s merchant. This sales leader will work directly with the internal shopper marketing team on on-line and in-store experience levers to help drive sell through. In addition, the position closely monitors floor productivity and makes Plan to Sell (PTS) adjustments to maintain/grow Balance of Floor (BOF) and Balance of Sale (BOS). Preparing volume and profitability 30-60-90 day forecast/OL each week, as well as developing risks and opportunities to deliver quarterly targets. Your responsibilities will include: Execute pricing and promotional plans and strategies with Lowe’s. Own the influential responsibility in driving the Cooking category merchandising in-store promotional strategy. Drive preference through all marketing assets and resources with internal process partners and Lowe’s. Utilize interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills. Interact with internal and external contacts such as merchandising, product and marketing. Execute small assortment changes and full Product Line Reviews (PLR’s) with Lowe’s Forecast volume and profitability for rolling 30-60-90 days. Add, maintain, and adjust risks and opportunities within rolling 90-day window in order to deliver forecast and targets. Own relationship with Cooking and Online Lowe’s merchants. Manage full Profit and Loss (P&L) for Lowe’s Cooking category. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree 8 years sales or merchandising experience 3 years of home improvement retailer experience Preferred skills and experiences: 3 years Home appliance and/or consumer product goods sales experience Master’s degree Big box sales experience Proven strength in analytical skills to quickly identify issues and install mitigation strategies as needed Proven interpersonal skills and expertise in verbal, written, and presentation communication, as well as demonstrated ability to effectively convey ideas through storytelling Business, marketing, and sales acumen Proven success working with cross-functional teams to reach common goals Working knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google suite tools Demonstrated ability to multitask and facilitate effectively Strong drive to meet deadlines, develop assessments, and maintain a results-oriented focus.
