Position Overview: As a Senior Accountant for our client, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will oversee accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and contribute to financial reporting and analysis. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in the tech industry. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal policies. General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Review and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other balance sheet accounts. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis. Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls. Assist in the preparation for audits and liaise with external auditors as needed. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Implement best practices and support system enhancements. Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior accountants and finance staff. Oversee their work and provide training and support as needed. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis. Experience in the tech industry is highly desirable. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Attention to Detail: Meticulous and detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting and account management. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
