Metalforms was recently acquired by TransTech Energy, a leading provider of custom-engineered and fabricated solutions for liquids and gas processing, storage, transfer, and utilization across a broad range of industries including energy, petrochemical, specialty chemical, renewables, biofuels, and a variety of industrial process industries. Job Summary This role will serve as the finance business partner to the Plant Leadership Team for the Fabrication business located in Beaumont Texas. The primary responsibility is to forge strong business partnerships and provide financial analysis/decision support to Plant Leadership to ensure profitable growth and improve financial performance. The Cost Accountant will ensure accounting and finance activities are performed in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other Company practices, policies, and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Cost Accountant performs all duties under the direction of the Division Controller and will closely collaborate with the Plant Leadership Team. Improve financial efficiency and give data-driven advice to company leadership. Supervise/ Participate in invoicing and collection for the company's parts segment. Provide financial support and analysis (profitability analysis and product costing review). Identify and drive cost reductions and continuous improvement, including the development and maintenance of reporting to monitor actual performance vs. savings targets. Review financial records and adjusting the general ledger to accurately reflect balance sheets. Responsible for providing accurate and timely month-end close required submissions. Actively seek to continually improve and automate systems and processes that support operational analysis, cost accounting, and management reporting. Review financial data and trends for accuracy and reasonableness and investigate unusual items. Review and/or prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and analyses. Work with operations staff on job costing analysis and reporting. Collaborate with other accountants and financial staff to provide financial and accounting support to company leadership and department heads who establish goals and budgets. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Five or more years of manufacturing and cost accounting experience. Working knowledge of financial reporting software such as OneStream or Hyperion preferred. Experience with multiple ERP systems is desirable. Advanced knowledge of Excel. Sound judgement and experience to apply to new situations. A good understanding of accounting and finance activities. A good knowledge of the rules governing the preparation of financial statements is required. Be able to meet deadlines and be able to prioritize self and Team to meet the Company's expected delivery times. Good working knowledge of an ERP environment and how transactions interact. Excellent analytic and observation skills. Travel: • Requirements to other company locations of up to 10% annually.
