Job Summary:We are seeking a Cost Accountant to play a key role in our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ongoing analysis of process constraints, target project costing, margin analysis and tracing costs back to underlying activities. They will also ensure job costing is properly applied in the financial accounting system. This role involves working closely with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocation, financial reporting, and inventory valuation.

Key Responsibilities:Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, inventory, and variances.Maintain and update standard costs of raw materials, labor, and overhead.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports and financial statements.Collaborate with production and purchasing teams to review cost structures and recommend cost reduction opportunities.Perform cost variance analysis, including PPV, labor, overhead, and material variances.Ensure accurate inventory valuation and manage inventory reconciliation processes.Monitor and report on cost performance and identify areas for improvement.Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts related to cost accounting.Support internal and external audits by providing necessary cost-related data and analysis.Maintain and improve cost accounting systems and procedures.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.CPA, CMA, or similar certification is a plus.
