Summary: Goldbelt CP Marine is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to support the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) in Norfolk, VA. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Provide advanced technical expertise in the design, development, and implementation of systems, applications. Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing solutions to resolve problems efficiently. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of technical projects, meeting specifications, timelines, and budget. Act as a technical advisor, offering recommendations on best practices, industry standards, and emerging technologies to enhance system performance and efficiency. Mentor and guide junior technical staff, providing training and support to develop their skills and technical competencies. Review and approve technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards. Monitor system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimization strategies as needed. Coordinate with vendors and external partners to ensure successful integration and support of third-party tools or technologies. Conduct technical assessments and evaluations of new technologies, tools, or systems, providing detailed analysis and recommendations to leadership. Participate in technical design and architecture reviews, ensuring solutions align with business goals and technical requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure. Proficiency in relevant programming languages, tools, and platforms, depending on the technical field. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with industry standards and compliance frameworks related to the specific technical domain. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree At least 10 years of experience in this field including, but not limited to, leading the performance of studies, surveys and assessments (such as calculation of condition indices (CI) and facility condition indices (FCI), requirements generation utilizing builder methodology, water and energy efficiency conservation, CBMM, RCM, and Supply Chain Management). Experience conducting extensive research of regulations, policies, and analysis of data to prepare business case analyses, process improvements, SOPs and staffing studies; technical writing and Project Development Scopes for Cat III/IV work; recommissioning or retro commissioning of facilities.
