Warehouse Material Handler 1st Shift | Darien, IL | $18 Job Description We are seeking a dedicated warehouse associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing basic warehouse duties, including loading and unloading products using a sit-down forklift, palletizing products, and preparing them for shipment. This role requires proficiency in label printing, inventory counting, the use of RF scanners, and forklift operation. Additionally, you will ensure the accuracy of all receiving and shipping documents and will be cross-trained in various areas of operations, including production tasks such as packing, repacking, and filling. To be successful in this role, you will ensure the timely shipment, receipt, and transfer of all finished products and raw materials, along with the accurate completion of all required documentation. This position is located in Darien, IL and the typical schedule is 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Responsibilities Load and unload products using a sit-down forklift. Ensure the accuracy of all receiving and shipping documents. Prepare products for shipment. Engage in production tasks including packing, repacking, and filling. Print labels and check inventory using computers. Cross-train between manufacturing production and warehouse operations. Essential Skills 2 Years Material Handling Experience. Proficiency in Operating a Sit-Down Forklift. Experience in Picking, Packaging, and Inventory Counting. Knowledge of GMP, particularly in the Cosmetics Industry. Experience with SAP, ERP Systems, and Cycle Counts. Shift & Pay 1st Shift 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM $18-$20/hr Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment includes a personal care product manufacturing facility with three different production floors. The setting is similar to most chemical companies, but the products are not harmful. One room contains large pumps and tanks, while the other two rooms have mainly piping systems. The facility can be very hot during the summer, and the floors tend to be dirty and wet. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, and hard hats are required. The role involves spending time in both the warehouse and on the production floor, assisting wherever needed.
