Carpenter/ Framer Job Description As a Framer, you will be responsible for overseeing carpentry and framing activities on the rooftop of a large distribution facility. You will build and install curbs for HVAC units, create crickets to divert water, and ensure proper 6'' wood framing around the units. Fall protection training will be provided on the first day, and you will need to bring your own harness if you have one. If not, harnesses will be available on-site. Responsibilities Oversee and participate in the building and installation of curbs for HVAC units. Construct crickets around curbs to divert water. Ensure proper 6'' wood framing around HVAC units. Participate in fall protection training on the first day. Operate various tools including drills, nail-guns, tape measures, hammers, squares, and skill saws. Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards and regulations. Operate forklift, boom lift, and scissor lift when necessary. Essential Skills 5-10 years of experience in framing or rough carpentry. Proficiency in using power tools such as drills, nail-guns, tape measures, hammers, squares, and skill saws. Experience in commercial construction and rough carpentry. Ability to perform work at heights. Familiarity with fall protection measures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift certification. The job starts at 5am and requires 50-60 hour work weeks. The role involves working at heights and using various construction tools and equipment. Fall protection training will be provided, and harnesses are available on-site if you do not have your own.
