Salary: $74,562.60 - $93,204.10 Annually Location : Missouri City, TX Job Type: Full Time Job Number: C4511182024 Department: PUBLIC WORKS Division: ENGINEERING Opening Date: 11/18/2024 Closing Date: Continuous Definition This is a full-time (Entry- to Mid-Level Professionals) position with the City's Public Works Department. An individual in this position assist the Senior Capital Project Manager and CIP Administrator (CIP Team) in managing and coordinating Capital Improvements Program (CIP) activities and other similar projects. Examples of Work Work with consultants, contractors, and others involved in the planning, preliminary design, design development bidding, permitting, construction, final occupancy, project closeout, and warranty phase of the City's Public Safety, Drainage, Transportation, Parks, City Facilities, Water, and Wastewater capital and related projects; Assist Senior Capital Project Manager and CIP Administrator (CIP Team) in the selection of architectural & engineering consultants and construction contractors; Assist CIP Team in PER/30/60/90 percent phase and overall constructability reviews for architectural & engineering design and construction documents; Assists CIP Team in all aspects of construction including, but not limited to: Oversight of consultants, contractors, surveyors, labs, and other related personnel Leads preconstruction and progress meetings Serves as in-field point of contact Leads site visits and inspections Resolves field issues Addresses public concerns Document management & retention Project Closeout Assists CIP Team in weekly project status updates on all assigned projects for City Engineer and City Leadership; Assists CIP Team in monitors and controls of project schedule & budget; reviews and processes contractor pay apps and takeoffs; Perform other related duties as assigned; Subject to 24-hour recall Education, Experience, or Certification Associate's degree in construction, engineering, planning, or a closely related field, from an accredited college or university; or two (2) years of experience in construction project management, community planning, project development or a closely related field are required; or a combination of the above. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred, other certifications will be considered based on applicability.
