Description Reporting to the Reactor Division Plant Engineering Senior Manager, you will design, overhaul, and upgrade the systems that manage the nuclear reactors and the experiments conducted within it. You should expect to work on a variety of custom analog and digital electronics and software-based control and data acquisition systems that are tightly connected to the physical, mechanical, and nuclear processes that are central to the facility's mission. You will include participation in the creation of technical analyses, documentation, and other formal reports. By joining this paid internship, you will works a 4x10 schedule and works onsite at the Materials and Fuels Complex near Idaho Falls, Idaho. Your start date and duration of internship vary based on project and your availability. You may be eligible for course credit for this internship if approved by your university. Qualifications Undergraduate students enrolled full time at an accredited college/university studying Electrical Engineering. A minimum overall ((3.0)) GPA Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT and OPT) Familiarity with the design of electronic systems and circuits, instrumentation of physical processes, control theory, and control system programming. Compensation and Benefits: Undergraduate Internships ($25.65/hour - $30.70/hour) Masters Internships and PhD Internships Pre-Candidacy ($31.75/hour - $34.06/hour) PhD Internships Post-Candidacy ($33.75/hour - $36.06/hour) Eligible interns are provided paid holiday time off, and many of our internships offer travel reimbursements.
