About the role:

We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to assist with the overall administration of investment services with responsibility for the Credit Union's liability and certificate programs.

Requirements

A day in the life of the Financial Analyst will include:
  • Developing and maintaining robust analytics frameworks for evaluating the institution's financial data.
  • Creating dynamic visualizations that clearly communicate financial trends, forecasts, and strategic insights to senior management
  • Responding to ad hoc analytical requests from various departments, providing rapid and accurate financial insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Assisting with the analysis and execution of transactions in secondary markets, including evaluating potential impacts on the institution's financial health.
  • Conducting comprehensive reviews of the balance sheet to identify risks and opportunities and develop strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Performing profitability analysis for various products and segments within the institution, identifying drivers of revenue and areas for rate reduction.
  • Regularly evaluating financial performance against budget and forecast, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
  • Conducting stress testing analysis to assess the impact of different scenarios on the institution's financial stability and performance.
  • Working with and supporting the financial data analyst function, including data mining and research activities. Utilize Business Intelligence tools to provide insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Assisting in generating monthly financial reports to ensure timely and accurate financial information dissemination.
Experience/Education
  • Two to three years' experience in a financial institution.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or related field or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
