PitchBook's Senior Technical Program Manager drives strategic cross functional initiatives for the Enterprise Technology team, supporting Finance, Revenue, and Marketing Operations. This role leverages robust technical expertise to unify cross functional teams driving them towards defined program milestones and deliverables, removing bottlenecks escalating risks/issues as needed, providing visibility to progress and overall ensuring effective collaboration across teams. Specifically, this role will lead execution of PitchBook's multiyear Enterprise Technology roadmaps ensuring successful delivery and implementation.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Serve as the Technical Program Manager in support of Enterprise Technology owning planning, execution, and delivery for programs or high-profile capabilities, driving roadmap, execution, and delivery. Collaborate with business partners, enterprise architects, technical leads, and key stakeholders to ensure requirements are defined and scoped. Ability to dive into technical details, understanding and providing feedback to ensure the solution meets the business requirements. Build a robust plan that identifies deliverables, required resources, and timing for executing a solution build that meets the overall requirements. Manage cross-team dependencies, align roadmaps, and unblock teams. Support planning activities that identify dependencies. Hold the team accountable to meeting key committed deliverables. Define clear goals, prioritize the right work, and use data to drive crisp decisions in partnership with stakeholders across multiple locations around the world. Proactively identify and resolve risks, issues, and conflicts affecting goal achievement, escalating when needed for resolution. Keep the team, sponsor, and relevant stakeholders informed on progress to goal. Implement structure, order, and clarity to ambiguous problems with little direction or oversight. Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors. Collaborate with other Technical Program Managers and Program Managers within the organization to continuously improve our program management best practices. Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree. 5+ years of technical program management experience. 2+ years of vendor management experience. Ability to dive into technical details and translate back in non-technical terms. Experience program managing cross-functional programs for an organization with a strong understanding of program management fundamentals. Deep understanding of software product life cycle and how to apply that to enterprise vendor owned software as a service system. Able to work across multiple globally dispersed teams and stakeholders at all levels of seniority, build strong trusted relationships, and lead through influence. Analytical mindset, be able to create reporting and influence decisions using data to support effective decision making. Able to effectively manage ambiguity and competing priorities and help teams prioritize and focus. Self-motivated and goal-oriented attitude and can work effectively as an individual or as part of a team. Operate with a strong sense of urgency and deliver results. Exemplary verbal and written communication skills and comfortable to engage a diverse array of audiences. Able to effectively communicate with local and international teams in a multicultural setting both in-person, in writing, and via Zoom video calls. Experience in shipping multiple features, and services, simultaneously, in an Agile environment. Ability to breakdown a large and complex program/projects into distinct and incremental deliverables. Hands on knowledge of a project management tool, and Jira is preferred. Experience program managing enterprise systems such as, Marketo, Salesforce, and Analytic platforms. Interest in financial markets or services, particularly private equity and venture capital. Understanding of Finance, Marketing, and Revenue Operations processes and SOX controls is preferred. Project Management Professional certification. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily.

Compensation

Annual base salary: $125,000-$170,000. Target annual bonus percentage: 10%.

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

Working Conditions:

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it's helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an ongoing basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
