YOUR ROLE Are you known for your management skills? Are you passionate about customer support and driving results? If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to manage all aspects of a high-volume supply chain logistics operation, ensuring consistent high level quality service and customer satisfaction. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? Oversee ongoing customer service. Utilize daily communications with the customer to discuss service needs and potential problems. Ensure attainment of profit objectives of contracts, provide financial analysis and decision making for customer. Manage organic growth and development of additional business opportunities with existing customer. Ensure safety, maintain quality, establish and monitor cost control programs. Oversee operations management within the company guidelines. Manage operations schedule and staff in anticipation of customer needs. Daily administration of contract, including preparation of customer related performance reports and other correspondence. Train managers and other personnel strategically in all areas that will help achieve the contract goals and objectives and satisfy the customer. Maintain corporate productivity and quality award programs to recognize outstanding performance. Establish ongoing programs to ensure continuous improvement, including the use of Kaizen, LEAN, and the EQS program to maintain quality performance. Manage cost control programs, including annual budget development, monthly P&L review, and payroll and cost analysis. Utilize Performance Management projects to guide managerial staff to monitor and control costs on a weekly basis. Negotiate and enforce collective bargaining agreement where applicable. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, 3 PL or Transportation; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 10 years experience and expertise in operations and business management. Industry experience preferred. Experienced in providing leadership for multiple sites that are geographically dispersed, effectively delegating responsibility and authority to direct reports. Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications. Characteristics:
Experience driving revenue growth, retaining customers, and managing profitability of multiple sites. In depth, experience based knowledge of managing revenue, budgets, EBITDA, operations problem solving, customer service and managing people.
