Supermicro Computer's Hardware Designing team is looking for an experienced technical manager with extensive board design knowledge to be involved in the design and development of motherboards - which is the core component of our server products. Through closely collaborating, our Hardware Design Manager will work with cross-functional teams to design high performance and cutting edge motherboards, which build upon the fundamental of our data center products. In addition, the Hardware Design Manager will provide strong leadership and mentorship to ensure the team will shine under his/her leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned): Collaborate with Product Manager to optimize product specification, analyze technical feasibility. Responsible for schematics capture, layout checking, BOM generating, and debugging and testing of server motherboards / add-on cards / backplane products. Collaborate with layout engineers, validation engineers, software engineers, firmware engineers, product engineers and other teams to discover and solve any engineering issues in early stage to ensure and enhance the quality of the products. Prepare technical documentation including product specifications, layout instructions, test procedures, etc. Ensure products conform to engineering specifications, EMC and energy regulations, and customer performance expectations. Provide clear documents and strong technical support to contract manufacturers and production department during the product sample and production stages. Support Technical Support Team and Field Application Engineer to ensure quality throughout the entire product life cycle. Qualifications:

Master's degree in electrical engineering with 5 years or Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience working with x86 server / workstation boards is preferred. Deep understanding of X86 architecture; comprehensive knowledge on PCB layout, debugging tools and software, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc. In-depth knowledge of PCB layout, OrCAD/Allegro tools, circuit design, and PCB structure. Knowledge of high-speed circuit design and voltage regulator circuit design. Familiarity with digital scope and high-speed bus measurement. Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving capability, and strong ability to adopt and learn new notions and technologies. Self-motivated and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment. Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location. Salary Range:

$179,000 - $200,000 The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
