Overview The Director of Commercial Contracts will oversee compliance and contract management across multiple locations. This role will be a key stakeholder in collaborations with clients and the business development teams. Responsibilities Essential Responsibilities: Contract Management:

Oversee the Contracts Department, negotiating and finalizing government and commercial agreements (NDAs, CDAs, Master Service Agreements, etc.). Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, managing federal contracts and subcontracts throughout their lifecycle. Act as the primary point of contact for customer contracting officials and support audits and revenue projections.

Policy and Procedure Development:

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the Contracts Department. Implement policy updates related to government regulations (FAR, DFAR, etc.).

Federal Business Development:

Oversee maintenance of the SAM.gov account and engage with client procurement officials and policymakers. Manage the production and submission of proposals for RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and grants, including responding to RFIs to gather information and shape proposal strategies.

Team Management:

Lead and mentor the Contracts Department team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide guidance and support for team members in contract negotiation and compliance processes.

Other Duties and Supporting Company Initiatives:

Participate in cross-functional teams to align contracts with overall business objectives. Support company initiatives aimed at process improvement and operational efficiency.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements: 5 to 10 years of experience in a contracts leadership role, including reviewing NDAs, CDAs, Master Services Agreements, and RFIs. 1 to 5 years of experience in people management. Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. Preferred Requirements: Experience managing government contracts. Background in a pre-clinical contract research organization. 1 to 3 years of experience managing a team. This position is hybrid and requires on-site attendance at the office in Indianapolis 2-3 times per week. *This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
