Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Charleston, South Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/16/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel About this Position Position/Specialty: PCU RN Shift: Will work 3x12hr days 7am-730pm Weekend REQ: Every other weekend and holiday rotation Ratio: On night it's 1-4 or 5 staffing depending Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 1 year of recent experience First-timers accepted: Yes License REQ: South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License Certs REQ: (MUSC only accepts American Heart Association (AHA)) ACLS, BLS, NIH Misc. Open to accommodating block schedule? Requires managers approval upon request. Dependent on unit's needs. Local radius: 60 miles. Locals accepted: Yes, on a case- by- case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions: If a candidate is a clinical PASS, the account manager can auto offer a traveler that has 7 days or less of NON-HOLIDAY RTO. Any candidate that has 7 days and/or includes holidays will have to be submitted to the facility for approval and can delay the process. Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet Hospital Total Staffed Beds: 820 Scrub Color: All RNs - Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal blue bottoms. Charting: EPIC Parking Cost: Parking management office (located 91presidents street) to obtain parking permit. $20 registration fee for a hang tag which will allow use of the garage. No additional fees. Hang tag will not cover parking in any other locations. If parking outside of the 91 Street Parking Garage, additional fees may be incurred. “Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.” 6 East Transplant is a 22 bed intermediate PCU/medical-surgical unit. There is a central monitor system for the step down rooms and a separate one for Tele. Five of the 22 beds have bedside monitors to accommodate transplant patients who need to be closely monitored. The predominate population cared for are pre- and post-operative transplant (liver, kidney, kidney/pancreas), nephrology and urology patients. Tact Medical Staffing Job ID 498051.
