PDS TECH is currently looking for a CNC Programmer for our motorsport client in Santa Clarita, CA
Pay: 75K to 100K/year
Job Description:
The CNC programmer is a technical specialist who will program and create multi-axis tool path utilizing computer software to control machine tools and related machinery in the manufacturing of work pieces
3+ years’ experience
Required experience:
2 Year Technical Degree in CNC Programming with 5 years of relevant experience or a minimum of 10 years’ experience programming in a multi-axis CNC Milling environment.
5 years of experience CAD-CAM programming CNC, creating tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes to manufacture components.
Experience with CATIA V5 AMG software or similar & Fanuc controllers is a plus. Strong understanding and experience with close tolerance machining.
Comprehensive knowledge of machine setup procedures
Experience generating technical and summary reports.
Ability to effectively interface with multiple departments and personality types. Good verbal and written communication ability. Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Ability to effectively plan projects and delivery outcomes that meet tight deadlines and quality standards. Experience in preparing meeting presentation materials.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point and Word.
Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple assignments concurrently.
Must Have:
5 years’ experience programming using MasterCam software to develop multi-axis, CNC code for complex cast and billet components as well as associated tooling and fixtures based on engineering drawings, 3D models and/or written specifications.
Experience with 3, 4 and 5 axis machining methods and fixture design required. Design/Select cutting tools as needed.
Evaluate and implement continuous improvement efforts by applying lean manufacturing tools to the machining environment.
Lead and guide engineering and development in design for manufacturing practices.
Ability to read and decode GD&T symbols embedded within drawing.
Ability to use precision measuring tools.
Ability to effectively use CNC G code verification software such as Vericut. Experience in modifying and programming engineering models for the appropriate CNC machines.
Experience in designing CAD models.
Experience in developing manufacturing process to machine complex parts.
Complete understanding of reading blueprints and drawings

Pay Details: $1,442.31 to $1,923.08 per week
