Inventory Control Specialist
for a 12+ month contract in Omaha, NE. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory processes, contributing to a seamless production environment. Key Responsibilities Quality Verification: Verify Quality Holds entered in Toolbox for accuracy within the last 24 hours or weekend. Review and complete quality hold packets, including IC items on the checklist. Distribute quality hold packets and confirm entries to the internal quality team.
Inventory Counts: Generate daily Level 1 physical cycle counts and/or 3-day/weekly Level 2 counts following SOPs. Update Toolbox with new dispositions and validate Level 1 physical counts against inventory software records. Investigate and escalate discrepancies according to defined escalation procedures. Report Level 1 verifications in plant meetings and maintain comprehensive records of counts.
Quality Management: Complete daily inventory control quality checklists. Manage three-day/validation holds per company SOPs. Ensure timely completion of plant traceability exercises. Oversee feed and donate/destroy load processes, retaining certificates of destruction. Comply with corporate document retention guidelines, ensuring proper document destruction when applicable.
Qualifications Proven experience in inventory control, quality assurance, or a related field. Strong familiarity with tools like Toolbox, DLX, and SAP. Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Understanding of Standard Operating Procedures and escalation protocols. Knowledge of corporate document retention and destruction practices.
