www.accessholdings.com . Role Overview Access Holdings is seeking outstanding candidates for the Value Creation Senior Associate / Vice President (Sr. ASC / VP) role. The Sr. ASC / VP will work closely with other deal team professionals in identifying, framing and analyzing potential investment theses and opportunities that fit within Access’ overall strategy. He/she will support the investment research process, continuously identifying and examining potential trends, industries and investment ideas that may be worth pursuing. Additionally, the Sr. ASC / VP will engage directly with prospective investment opportunities and portfolio investments, cultivating relationships and developing/enabling strategic plans and value creation initiatives. Given Access’ integrated business model, the Value Creation Sr. ASC / VP will work across all areas of the firm and be an integral part of the leadership team. In this role, he/she will identify and advance a variety of efforts that result in outstanding investment decisions, strategic roadmaps informed by deep market research, and successful value creation post investment. The position will be based in Baltimore, Maryland. Key Responsibilities: Frame potential investment theses based on deep understanding of key industry and market trends and support the origination and pursuit of new deals Drive destination planning process to build strategic vision and roadmap for new investments, in partnership with other deal team professionals and prospective executives Develop and drive critical value creation initiatives for portfolio companies, in partnership with other deal team professionals and portfolio company executives Own internal initiatives to build and enhance Access’ value creation and investment capabilities and processes Professional Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience working in a top-tier strategy consulting firm or corporate development role within a reputable business Proven record of high performance and substantial achievements in past positions Exceptional project management, analytical, and problem solving skills Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels Demonstrated leadership experience, with ability to manage and motivate diverse teams Solid functional knowledge, including but not limited to business strategy, business development, digital transformation, product development, marketing & sales, etc. Comfort with ambiguous problems and ever-changing situations Private equity and/or M&A experience a plus Digital and advanced analytics experience a plus MBA or other advanced degree a plus Personal Characteristics Low ego, consultative style with an ability to influence through use of data, analysis and experience High energy, intellectually curious thinker Strong problem solver with attention to detail Solid process orientation; knows how to move ideas into action Open and collaborative team player Professional and emotional maturity Organized and resourceful with an ability to get things done Effective in balancing need/use of data and analysis with desire for insights and action Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Comfortable working in a small team environment – willing to pitch in; no task too small A self-starter with a close attention to detail and a high level of initiative
