Provide strategic intellectual property counseling to clients in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Conduct thorough patentability assessments and due diligence analyses. Assist in developing global patent strategies aligned with client business objectives. Collaborate with inventors, researchers, and corporate teams to ensure accurate technical disclosures. Keep abreast of advancements in chemical and pharmaceutical patent law and share insights with clients and the legal team. Requirements 2–4 years of experience in patent prosecution and intellectual property counseling, specifically in the chemical or pharmaceutical domains. Proven expertise in handling complex technical subject matter and translating it into comprehensive legal strategies. Strong organizational abilities with a detail-oriented approach to managing multiple cases. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and legal concepts clearly. Education A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field is required. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic performance. Certifications Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. state. Registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required. Skills Deep understanding of chemical principles and their application to patent law. Exceptional research and analytical skills to assess the patent landscape and develop strategies. Ability to work collaboratively with technical and legal professionals in a team environment. Adaptability to handle evolving legal challenges and client needs.
