Social Media Strategist
will work with departments across the agency as well as with partner agencies to support program/campaign development and execution. This position reports to the Sr Social Media Strategist and will be part of the team responsible for the multicultural strategic planning, research and presentations that provide insights and recommendations to deliver effective programs through various media channels.
What you will do Suggest, execute, measure and report social media strategy Develop and manage various social media channels Collaborate with strategy and creative teams to effectively implement insights to create and optimize content and media decisions and communicate platform technical updates Assist with social listening tool setup including keywords, query parameters and dashboards Pull and interpret data from social listening tools including volume, sentiment, conversation drivers, and influencers Stay well-informed of changes in the social media landscape, including tools and practices that will help our clients and agency evolve Assist with the development and implementation of comprehensive social media strategies and communication plans to engage target audience Help with outreach efforts to influencers and potential partners Identify the role of social media strategies in the context of paid, earned, owned media Help implement tracking and optimization tools and techniques Assist in establishing social media benchmarks for campaign reporting and provide ad hoc reports Support the evaluation metrics and proactively provide insights to improve campaign performance or brand goals Attend workshops, meetings, and other offsite training opportunities related to client assignment
Your experience Bachelor’s degree in media, communications, advertising, business, or related field Advertising or media agency internship experience preferred Experience and/or knowledge of planning digital video, display, and paid social a plus Entrepreneurial, self-driven, intellectually curious, organized, and attentive to detail Passionate about pop-culture and how it brings power and context to messaging Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, listening tools, and native and non-native social media publishers (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Radian6, NetBase, Sprinklr, etc) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to adapt to shifting priorities
