(Contract: Temp-to-Perm | Monday – Friday: 12:30p – 9p (40 hours a week) | Hybrid: Los Angeles, CA | Duration: 6 months | Start Date: 12/2/24 | Pay Range: $35 hourly ) Lawyers on Demand (LOD) is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support one of our global clients in delivering the highest level of service to internal and external clients alike. Responsibilities: Handle basic contract management – collecting additional documents/information, getting agreements signed using DocuSign, uploading contracts into Cobblestone, and some basic mail scanning but that should be very minimal. Route inquiries to attorneys via e-mail requests and need to get items from sales reps for contracts. Provide administrative support to lawyers and enhance office effectiveness. Handle communication with clients, witnesses, etc. Administratively support and attend trials. Prepare case briefs and summarize depositions, interrogatories, and testimony. Conduct investigations and statistical/documentary research. Locate and develop case-relevant information. Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence. Answer and direct phone calls. Maintain contact lists. Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars. Requirements and skills: 2 years of administrative experience in a law firm or professional services organization Litigation and e-filing experience with U.S. District and State Courts (California needed, Washington State a plus) Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Innova/Litera Ability to perform advanced document formatting, conversions, and redlining Strong litigation practice area knowledge with the ability to understand legal terminology and documentation Lawyers On Demand (LOD) offers flexible talent placement rates that range from $15 to $100 per hour depending upon experience level and specific skills requested by the client, candidate’s general skill set, applicability of candidate skill set to client need, client budget, number of hours requested, and other factors. A specific rate of pay for a project will be discussed with you if it is determined that you are a potential fit for a role.
