Job Description: Summary: We are seeking talented students who are interested in paid summer internship opportunities within the New York Mets' front office. Ideal candidates have a long-term goal of working in professional sports. The Summer Internship Program is designed for qualified students who are entering their Junior or Senior year of college. The Interns selected will make a significant contribution to the organization during the 2025 season. In addition to your department, you will be able to explore other aspects of the business through joint projects, participation in lunch & learns, and various networking events. Program Length/Schedule: The internship will run from June 2nd through August 7th, 2025. Candidates must be fully available for the duration of the internship. Work location will be on-site at Citi Field, Flushing, NY 11368. Please note game day and special event responsibilities include late nights and weekends. If you are selected to participate in the interview process, the first round will include a digital interview. The New York Mets will not be providing housing for the internship. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: As an IT Intern, you will work with the NY Mets IT team to ensure all technology-related needs are met efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities include: Providing routine technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Configuring and maintaining hardware such as laptops, desktops, and mobile devices. Assisting with the installation of new machines, including imaging and software deployment. Conducting basic network troubleshooting of connectivity issues. Managing and organizing IT equipment inventory to ensure accurate tracking and availability. Supporting IT projects, including system upgrades, special events, and technology rollouts. Collaborating with team members to identify and implement creative solutions to unique technology challenges. Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Business or other related majors with a strong interest in IT are also encouraged to apply. Proficiency in resolving basic computer problems and installing software. Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting. Expertise in Windows 10 (required); knowledge of Mac OS is a plus. Competence with smartphones and tablets, including Android and Apple devices. Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Interest in technology and a desire to learn and grow. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Strong organizational skills, including maintaining and tracking IT inventory. Creative problem-solving abilities; able to devise solutions independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
