Labor and Deliver Nurse Compensation

• The pay for this position is $50.00 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Labor and Deliver Nurse Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is 7:00pm-7:30AM, Must work one holiday and every other holiday.

Labor and Deliver Nurse Responsibilities

· Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe and effective patient care, demonstrating accountability and respect for patients, families, and coworkers.

· Direct and supervise support staff in providing optimal patient care.

· Use critical thinking skills to perform nursing duties with minimal supervision.

· Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and families to ensure continuity of care.

· Utilize evidence-based practice to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

· Provide compassionate care to diverse patient populations based on age and clinical needs.

· Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).

· Maintain a commitment to ongoing education and skill development in nursing practices individuals and as members

Labor and Deliver Nurse Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Preferred Education: -Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). Required Certification & Licensure: -Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing..
• 2 years of L&D experience required. *Proficiency in labor, postpartum, and special care. *Certifications Required: BLS, NRP.
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
