ADP is hiring a Director, Procurement Systems.

As Director, Procurement Systems, you will manage the enterprise-wide deployment and management of world-class procurement, sourcing, and expense management systems while driving over $1.5B in annual spend through ADP’s e-procurement applications. This role will directly oversee ADP’s large-scale Source-to-Pay (S2P) program and manage the daily activities of multiple team members to ensure high quality and end-to-end success of the program. The Director, Procurement Systems, will be the global process owner responsible for the solution design, global deployment, and support of ADP’s S2P processes. Implementation responsibilities include requirements gathering through testing and deployment and change management activities. This position ensures that S2P processes and systems are aligned with ADP global policies and processes.
The Director, Procurement Systems, will supervise a global team that provides project management and technical support for purchasing, invoicing, and sourcing. The S2P process includes all global activities from Sourcing to Requisitioning to Payment. This leader will play a critical role in driving process transformation, supervising the S2P team, and being accountable for delivering a seamless purchasing and invoicing process across the enterprise.
You will implement the strategy for source-to-pay globalization, standardization, and automation from a people, process, technology, and Gen AI perspective. This role will drive the international growth of e-purchasing tools, processes, and best practices while establishing relationships with senior business unit leaders globally to drive the adoption of one global ADP process for buying and invoicing products and services.
In addition, the Director, Procurement Systems, will act as the industry and subject matter expert related to source-to-pay applications and procurement orchestration. Stays abreast of the associated business and technology trends and proactively responds to capitalize on opportunities. In this position, you will accelerate process improvements for S2P processes/policies/systems that drive operational efficiencies connected to digital transformation and automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive these improvements, lead the change management efforts, streamline operations, and enhance financial & business performance.
This role will execute the strategy to drive change and innovation across the organization, moving the enterprise to the next level of sourcing and procurement results while providing thought leadership to adopt best practice procurement processes, including Gen AI efforts that align with Global Procurement’s strategic vision.
As Director, Procurement Systems, you must think and act in both a strategic and tactical/operational manner in this fast-paced environment. You will provide professional leadership while adapting to different experience levels of team members and be comfortable with situational ambiguity. In addition, engagements with internal and outside business partners require a high level of business sophistication to ensure that commercial objectives are maximized while important business and partnership relationships remain intact. The Director, Procurement Systems, will work closely with staff to mentor, educate, and develop their talent.
What you’ll do:
Manages the global implementation of procurement applications, upgrades, system training, end-user support, and system reporting across ADP, with a focus on S2P, including project management activities, coordinating the efforts of internal and external parties, ensuring that requirements are identified, design, testing and build is completed successfully, internal support documentation is published, and communications are issued that align with departmental strategic goals and objectives.
Oversee the customization, configuration, and seamless integration of procurement systems with other ADP enterprise systems.
Provides S2P global direction and management while partnering with cross-functional leaders to drive long-term planning, strategic vision, technology decisions, and transformational roadmap for S2P.
Executes the strategy for S2P consolidation, standardization, and automation while leading the development and optimization of S2P processes.
Supervises a team that provides project management, analytical, and technical support for purchasing, invoicing, sourcing applications.
Develops and implements governance policies and standards to ensure data quality, security, and compliance across our sourcing and procurement operations.
Manages and mitigates risks related to procurement and sourcing operations and implements disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
Implements the S2P technology roadmap and ensures the development, implementation, and support of global S2P solutions that drive ongoing value.
Develops strong working relationships with ADP business units and acquisitions to introduce and migrate them to the standards and practices of Global Procurement while partnering with all levels of IT, HR, and Finance to develop, enhance, and deploy solutions that are aligned with corporate objectives.
Launches projects to improve solutions' effectiveness and drive results while ensuring that SOX IT compliance requirements are met.
Produces spend and source-to-pay reports for executive and front-line stakeholders; leverages reporting and analytics to enable data-driven decision-making that improves sourcing and purchasing decisions in support of domestic and international business and legal/regulatory compliance.
Researches and identifies the appropriate technology to be leveraged for future enhancements and process improvements to evolve current procurement processes, including Gen AI.
Develop and execute new improved procurement strategies across all purchasing channels.
Delegate tasks and supervise Procurement Systems team members while ensuring that documented standard operating processes and procedures are in place.
Experience:
You have 10+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role, including 5+ years of people leadership and 3 years of procurement experience. TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: SME in best practice Source-2-Pay processes with a passion for continuously improving user experiences, and forward-thinking about platform improvement, including the development of AI use cases. Successful experience managing source-to-pay systems, like Ariba, including implementing and managing systems, providing support to end users, and implementing global system deployments. 5+ years of experience leading an application support team. Demonstrated success managing S2P processes or other procurement, finance, accounting, or strategic planning processes within a complex, global environment. Prior procurement experience. Excellent project management skills. Demonstrated superior communication, collaboration skills and experience engaging with senior leaders and stakeholders at all levels of the organization, problem-solving, planning, system administration, and a strong customer service focus. Strong analytical skills, including experience in analytics and leveraging data and insights to drive business outcomes. Experience managing digital transformation initiatives. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams. Experience administering systems. Must enjoy working in a dynamic, diverse, fast-paced organization and managing multiple projects related to various procurement applications and processes while solving complex system problems. Some experience with Software Development Life Cycle. You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Computer Science, Information Management, or equivalent. For additional comfortability in the role: Master’s degree and/or additional certifications in procurement, process optimization, technology, data science/analytics, project management, or system administration.
