Overview
We are looking for a highly organized, experienced and motivated procurement professional to lead the Burlington Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) team. The
Director of Procurement COE
has a primary responsibility of providing support to the Procurement organization and all of it’s functions. This integral role owns the responsibility of all Procurement related systems and tools, maintaining those systems as a system admin, providing training and support to the team, and provide reporting to the organization which is used to make key strategic decisions throughout the enterprise.
The Director of the COE is expected to implement best practices for all Procurement related processes, methodologies, models, and where appropriate optimize operations across categories within Procurement and throughout the organization. It is expected that this role will engage with senior leaders regularly across the enterprise to establish processes that improve KPIs, efficiencies, and drive value while improving the ease of execution.
As the business owner of Procurement systems, this role will be responsible for leading an enterprise-wide Source-to-Pay system implementation. Experience with S2P, ERP, and/or P2P implementations is highly preferred.
A Day in the Life:
Own and maintain Procurement systems, tools, and processes (Coupa)
Vendor Management
Contract Management
Catalogs, Sourcing & Bid Optimization
Procure-to-pay
Reporting
Maintain and distribute accurate reporting
Develop and maintain reports that track the status of projects, contracts, spend, savings, and other metrics as needed
Track report on KPIs related to the performance of Procurement
Assist Procurement category owners in developing robust reports to support the business. i.e. category specific spend/usage, market intelligence, commodity tracking, etc.
Drive the annual category strategy process
Oversee the creation and implementation of annual company-wide category strategies to deliver continuous improvement and better value to the business across spend areas worth $1.5B+
Direct the execution of spend analytics across all indirect categories, identifying options and opportunities, categorizing spend, and delivering accurate reporting consistently
Build and drive annual savings plans by interfacing and communicating with the Procurement category owners, functional business unit leaders, and Finance
Sourcing
Lead sourcing events as needed on an ad hoc basis
Provide analytical support to the Procurement team as needed
Procurement onboarding, training, & process improvements
Partner closely with other Procurement leaders to develop on-boarding material, provide training, and deliver to the team on an on-going basis.
Provide leadership, coaching, counseling and support to the Procurement team
You’ll Come With:
4 year college degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field, MBA strongly desired
Certified Purchasing Manager and/or Certified Professional in Supply Management preferred
Experience with implementing a Source-to-Pay solution is highly desired
10+ years of sourcing/procurement experience with demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility
Experience in Strategic Sourcing to include strong negotiation and supplier management experience
Candidate must possess a broad knowledge base across multiple categories of purchases and be well versed in sourcing methodology, process and negotiations
Experience with simultaneously and continuously improving customer satisfaction and productivity in sourcing and supplier relationship management
Demonstrated success leading project teams to achieve quantifiable savings by applying sourcing methods
Retail experience a plus
Technical Proficiency: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), S2P Systems (Coupa a plus), Reporting and Analysis Tools (Power BI)
Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
Able to manage multiple projects, effectively using multi-disciplinary resources to meet demands
Must be able to work autonomously, exercise good judgment and take decisive action
Candidate should possess excellent presentation skills
