Department Summary: The Special Events Office coordinates all presidential events in accordance with the president's vision and presents the University's mission effectively. Position Overview: This position assists in the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of special events hosted by the Office of the President. It requires superior customer service, initiative, and attention to detail. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field and three years of professional experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Advanced written communication skills. Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks. Ability to keep complex records and prepare reports. Strong organizational and planning skills. Supervisory skills. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a related field. Extensive experience with Excel and maintaining detailed database records. A record of exceptional customer service. Experience in a higher education environment. Job Duties: Event Planning:

Assists the Director with coordinating various presidential events, ensuring alignment with the President's vision. Day of Event Management:

Oversees event operations, ensuring smooth logistics and guest experience. Records and Data for Event Planning:

Maintains detailed records of events and generates reports. Provides Guidance to Campus:

Consults with affiliates to ensure appropriate representation of UNT. Represents Office of the President:

Collaborates with stakeholders and addresses problems effectively. Communication:

Writes reports and communicates clearly and professionally. Customer Service:

Responsive to internal and external customers, promoting teamwork. Administrative Support:

Serves as liaison between UNT community and the president's spouse. Work Schedule:

M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; nights and weekends as event schedule dictates. Driving University Vehicle:
