Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description – other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed. - Develops a local EH&S support structure that fosters employee engagement from the hourly associates to the leadership staff. - Manage and complete all the company's EHS regulatory reporting requirements, working with consultants, where applicable, to submit by required dates, and maintain on file as required. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement processes and technologies that support the organization's sustainability goals and targets for greenhouse gas reduction, water conservation and waste reduction. - Ensures all employees are trained in required EH&S programs. This will include the delivery of said training which occurs across all shifts on a periodic basis. Collaborates with team members to enhance EHS training where applicable. - Develops a culture that identifies environmental, health and safety opportunities and documents those for trends and predictive analysis. - Performs hazard risk analysis, determination of effective controls and risk mitigation - Facilitates the site hourly/salary Safety Committee to enable ways to mitigate EHS Risk and continuously improve our EHS Program In addition support department safety inspections with a cross-functional team of Management, Manufacturing Engineering and CBA employees. - Promote, develop, and establish health and safety programs, policies, and procedures that are related to the EHS program, provide training as necessary for all employees. - Leads safety incident investigation teams to determine root cause, corrective and preventive actions. - Assist corporate with all issues related to property and casualty insurance, site visits and claims review. - Management representative for the EMS program, and maintain ISO14001 certification with external auditing service - Leads EMS program has the site HAZMAT Team Chief and facilitate needed revisions to the EMS after audits and regulatory changes. - Manager and administer OSHA required administrative recordkeeping of all recordable workplace accidents to maintain regulatory compliance. - Establishes and manages ergonomic, injury case management and return to work programs - Works with Facilities/Maintenance Manager to maintain and improve overall facility security program, to provide a safe workplace for all employees, and to control vendors and contractors as they perform their services. Requirements: - Bachelor of Science in Engineering or in a Health and Science discipline required - 5 – 7 years' experience in high volume manufacturing which includes key safety and environmental issues. - Ability to influence leadership across functionally, and at many levels from shop floor to senior leadership. - Transparent, results oriented, and accountable with strong employee and customer focus - Must be passionate about results gained the right way, through the development of people and processes - Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and rapidly changing, transforming environment. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Immediate Microsoft Office Experience with emphasis in Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. - Advanced understanding of OSHA Regulations and General Industry Standards - Appropriate urgency when it comes to reacting to safety concerns - Have or obtain HAZWOPER, RCRA, DOT Training and Massachusetts Wastewater Operators License - Connect well with others and possess an approachable demeanor U.S. Tsubaki offers a competitive compensation package, including health benefits effective on date of hire, Paid Time Off ("PTO"), 10 paid holidays, generous 401(k) match and profit sharing, education reimbursement, and annual bonus potential.
