OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
Preparing journal entries for month-end close, including recurring entries, prepaids, and accruals.
Analyzing financial information and compiling reports for the monthly financial package.
Creating allocation journal entries for accurate cost accounting.
Reviewing and preparing monthly financial statements for affiliated companies.
Conducting ongoing P&L reviews to support the monthly close process.
Performing monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Maintaining accurate fixed asset records.
Preparing annual audit schedules and supporting external auditors.
Providing ad-hoc financial support as a valuable internal resource.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 5 years of accounting experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (experience with filters, pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Familiarity with SAGE500 is a plus.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively.
